I'm in for Saturday.
How's 10:00 at the Dennys?
1560 Lincoln Blvd, Santa Monica, CA‎
On the corner of Lincoln & Colorado
We can ride to the Rock Store after, if you haven't seen enough Harldleys yet.
C'mon SoCal Riders, let's have a big turnout!
I'm good for breakfast, may have to play the Rock Store by ear tho.

My son Alex and I are planning on being there. He will be on his Buell Blast--hopefully the POS won't break down during the ride, I always bring tools though, so if it does break down, just keep going, we'll catch up at the Rock Store...

My rope under the sidecover not-so-smart.
Goes without saying whenever storing anything under a side cover to positively assure there's no pressure against the inside surface and that the grommets remain snugly attached to the cover tabs.
I have run thousands of highway miles without ever losing a side cover, but always with the oem airbox, and with good tight grommets. Never a problem. But dread recommending storage of anything under the side cover to others for fear of their doing so and losing a side cover.
To be on the safe side, would urge not carrying anything underneath the side cover, and using one of the positive attachment methods (hitchpin clip or wire through tab centerline) to help prevent loss of side covers, especially if running pods. Might even help deter the casual sidecover opportunity parking lot thief.
Good Luck!

Don't yell at me but I will try to make it my front end is apart.
Needed to replace steering bearings and fork seals.
Glad I had a parts bike cause when I took the forks apart it looked like somebody put dirt in the fork tubes all grunge up.
Now I got to clean and paint the lower fork tubes and a bunch of other crap.
But I will try to make it.
I don't want to hear any excuses,
That's what I found on Thursday night two rides ago and I made it.
