Other than EBAY or Kawasaki itself does anyone have any idea where I might be able to find the Special Tools as listed in the back of the Factory Kawasaki Shop Manuals. I looking for anything for my 1979 KZ650-B3. Thanks

The short answer is no. No one carries stocks of these tools (although www.Z1Enterprises.com does carry the valve shim tool). Most of us here have either fabricated whatever special tools we have needed or have patiently fought over the few that have appeared on eBay :)

Welcome to KZR, I'd say eBay and good luck. 650's are under bucket shims so they don't use the valve shim tool.

I know you said "anything" but is there a particular tool you need ASAP for a project, or are you building up your tool arsenal for later projects? Ed

There are many tools Kawi lists as special, there are few that actually are. The only "special" tool I bought is the carb fuel level thinggy, which could be replaced with a simple rubber tube.

If you don't have money to burn, I would wait till you HAVE to have one then ask folks here... 10 to 1 says there is a way to do the job without the tool!

Good luck, and welcome to the family!!

I went to a dealer and asked if I could by the ring compressor tool. They got all pissy and said it's a dealer only item. I found one on ebay for $80 so screw them.
