What's the deal with Rice Paddy? was created by franknsr
Anyone here ever order from Rice Paddy in Ohio? I needed a speedo drive and cable and being so poor I can’t pay attention I jumped on fleabay and bought a used set from Rice Paddy. It showed up and the cable was rusted solid. When I asked for a replacement they offered to sell me a new one and ship it for free. I said no thanks, give me a refund and never heard back. Is it just me?

I experienced the same thing. Here is a quote from the description of the item they offered on ebay:

Up for auction this week is this Front Brake Master Cylinder for a 1977 1978 1979 1980 Kawasaki KZ1000LTD ( KZ 1000 LTD / KZ1000 / 1000LTD ). P/N: 43015-1009
This master cylinder will also fit the following bikes:

1977 - 79 KZ650C / KZ 650 C / 650C / KZ650 / KZ650SR / 650SR / SR
1979 -80 KZ1000MkII / KZ 1000 MkII / KZ1000 MkII / 1000MkII
1978 - 81 KZ1000 / KZ 1000 Police
Item is in good condition. No significant damage is apparant other than normal wear and tear. This master cylinder may need to be rebuilt to ensure safe operation (rebuild kits are available from us, your local Kawasaki dealer or any reputable motorcyle shop).

I received it and it was corroded so bad it was unusable. Plus the plastic reservoir was cracked. They wouldn't do a thing for me either.

Never saw anything from Ohio worth a flip myself. Sorry for your bum deal. As mentioned........chalk it up as experience.

I got a seat from them 3 or 4 years ago. It turned out not to be as nice as I anticipated. The pan was bent and there was a big rip where stitching used to be on the side of the seat. I won't order from there again personally, but nothing a new seat cover and some elbow grease didn't fix.

I 8used to use them long ago. They used to be a regular parts warehouse. I used to order carb rebuild kits and such from them. Than a couple of years ago I saw them selling used stuff on eBay, and I started to get suspicious of them. I ordered something from them on eBay and wound up having to involve PayPal to get my money back. I don't know what happened there, but I never ordered from them again. By the way you can order from Motion Pro directly, I have ordered custom cables from the a bunch of times and they were only a little more expensive than stock.

I bought a 4 into 1 exhaust system from him. It was just plain trash. He refused to refund my money, said he'd never had a complaint on any of those he sold in the past. I used to contact bidders on other systems he was offering and warn them off. Till E-Bay made that impossible.

I agree Stay Away!
