Dave, what is the aluminum piece at the bottom of the strut in front of the adjuster? and what arm is that?

National Record Holder for the 1/4 mile in 1980, 1981, 1982 & 1984. National Record Holder for the 1/8 mile in 1982. All records were achieved by Mike Sinski of Cheektowaga, NY. Mike purchased the stock bike from the original owner and built it himself as was described in the article which was published in the Hot Bike Magazine July 1983 issue. I purchased this bike in October 2012 and ran it at Elegant Builders National Raceway (formerly Dunn Tire National Raceway) in Lancaster, NY during the 2013 season.
