I wasn't sure where to post this, but here goes. My wife's bike is an 82 Suzuki GS550L. It's always had issues starting so last year I took the carbs off and cleaned them out along with the choke needles, reset the valves, and changed the head gasket. After all the work, I held the choke in and it started right up, ran it for an entire day and everything was beautiful. Today she went to fire it up to take to work, and it wouldnt start. It turns over fine and every once in awhile it will fire up, then die out. I'll be off work @ 9 tonite and will be working on it. Am I missing something stupid or does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any and all info.
