Replacing foot plates with foot pegs was created by pchavez
I want to drop the foot plates and put the regular foot pegs in. This whole heal upshift is confusing the crap out of me. Are there bolts or do I have to weld stuff and set myself on fire?

after looking at parts diagrams it appears your frame has a piece added to it that mine does not have. that may make things difficult

I'll take some pictures so you can compare with your frame. Trading would be ideal!

I think that special black thingy that they are attached to is welded onto the frame. I can hack it off if you can re-attach.

yea i could handle welding it back on if i had some measurements to know where to put it. I will take a look at my mount and see if I can carefully cut it off. Do you have some way to reattach it?

I'm going to see if I can attach my 650's controls on before I saw anything off. Is there any chance you could send a side shot of your break and shifter setup? It looks like I've got the holes but I'm basing that off of my 78 650's setup.
