Need to let the beard grow back on my "shaved" KZ

I just picked up a '79 KZ1000 LTD. The bike was "shaved" sometime ago. Lots of chrome added. Finishing up getting it running well, but I want to bring it back home in Kaw colors.

Any ideas on where can I find information as to which parts where chromed, painted black. I believe the original colors were either black or dark green when I get around to repainting it. Any tips from you who have done a shaver? I want to lose the chrome swing arm and torque arm, the bottom of the from forks were painted black. Valve cover chromed. (swap out anyone?) and so on. Paint looks good,just not me. Need original Kaw look . Any tips, ideas would be appreciated. I know this isn't a money maker...just gotta do it.

You should also be aware that Mother Kawasaki did some goofy changes between year models with respect to color and graphics...for example early KZ1000B3 had the same color/graphics as the late year KZ1000B2. Phrased another way, sometime in the KZ1000B3 run, the graphics changed. So, your options for a restoration have been considerably broadened.
