Castration should be legal ! was created by The Gringo
Castration should be legal, if you don't believe me look what this F#@king hillbilly dolt did to a 12,000 mile original 900 LTD. This idiot doesn't need to reproduce. cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Kawasaki-Kawasak...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I'd like to see more pictures, but that doesn't look like a bad custom job at all. I guess I'm just not a purist, I appreciate well done custom builds maybe more than a pristine example of a stocker. Now, if it was some hack job that destroyed the bike I'd find flaw with it too, but this looks to be pretty well done and nothing hacked up to the point that it couldn't be put back to stock if someone desired.

I'm sorry but Gringo I am with you on this one. Has to make you wonder what he was thinking.
I know! Down south if your bike don't look like a Hardly it Aint got no appeal and how are you supposed to make time with your sister if she don't think you ride a real man's bike? Gosh dang it!
Hopefully this will be good for someone to get on the cheap as long as he hasn't permanently messed things up.

I don't disagree with Gringo, but this would result an a whole lot of cutting when you consider every "customized" nightmare started life as a pristine stock bike when it left the showroom. Let the chopping (not on the bike) begin. :P

I'm not really a purist either and I appreciate a nice, well done custom bike. However this moron took a pretty rare bike (5000 units produced one year only) that on a normal day would fetch around 3 grand and turned it into a pile of crap that is going to be lucky to hit 2 grand.

I guess in this day and age I just don't understand why you would expend the effort working on a bike, only to make it worth less than when you started. With the amount of info available to you on the net, before you start hacking away with your sawzall or grinder it is always a good idea to determine what you have first. For the look he was after he would have been better off finding a cop bike which is not really rare and chop away on that. This bike has been hacked beyond the point of bringing it back, the entire rear of the frame is gone so this hillbilly could install his Harley look alike rear fender. Just a real shame this was an iconic bike when it came out.

I guess I just don't get it! Why take a relatively rare motorcycle, and try to make it look like every HD and clone on the road? If you WANT that look - go buy one and become another lemming, but modifying a wonderful machine to make it look like a POS is, IMHO, unforgivable!

Other than paint, everything is reversible. Seems like all he did was to put on some shorter shocks, an ugly seat, and a HD rear fender. Heck, think of it as an opportunity to pick up a 900LTD for cheap, especially if he's got the OEM stuff lying around to throw in the deal.

OOPS! Take that back. I see he hacked the rear subframe off. Bummer, this. I guess the only decent solution would be to make it a cafe style. Or, even better, graft the steering head onto a non-titled frame, like several of us happen to have lying around...:P

See his Youtube vid?

Sounds like it's missing on at least one, and the throttle response is atrocious. Actually, it sounds just like my cousins old Honda 350.

Bike looks lousy. Odd color. Stance and rear fender make it look clumsy. OK to chop a bike that has been changed but a nice all original thats another story. Think his Uncle is proud? Nice thing is the more that get changed it makes the originals alot more special. ...Russ

Andy, we're in agreement. The problem is that to 99.999% of John Q. Public it's "just an old junk ricer" no matter what it may really be. Consider how many have been destroyed over the intervening years for whatever reason. Remember the video from last year of the Kawasaki dealership that pinned the throttle on a decent looking 750 Ltd (I think) until it caught fire? To most people any Japanese motorcycle is an expendable piece of trash. We're the oddballs.

Clearly this guy operated under no other assumptions.
