HELP! Bike Runs on 3 Cylinders and Burns Oil???

Well, i have a slightly new direction with this bike. I have found an H1 motor for $250 that i think will be a nice powerplant for this little bike. It is a fairly simple swap. The only welding required is that the bottom mounts need to be removed and rewelded to the outside of the frame. The other motor mounts will just require spacers. Should make for one sweet little bike. I am parting out the 350 motor to help pay for the h1 motor. If anybody is interested in parts or the whole motor pm me.

jordan i'm disapointed in you, you have not got this thing together yet and no pictures of burnouts yet what is holding you back.:woohoo: :woohoo: .figures you would start thinking about putting an h1 in it. if you get the h1 make sure you get all the ignition pieces with it as they have a completly different system they had what is called a battery supported c.d.i one of the first electronic ignitions and a bizzare one at that if you cant get the ignition system for it you might be better of looking for an h-2 motor they where a bit more conventenal and they should be close too.

well, h1 motor plans might be no longer in effect. I just got harrassed at the s series triple forum about cutting up a rare 72 s2. Other people's opinions would never make me change my mind about a project, but i think building this little 350 motor would be alot of fun and very challenging.
Brian on teh triples board just cranked out 50rwhp out of his 350, and a 12.95 sec quarter mile!!!!

Began teardown, got 2 cylinders off and still was stuck and not budging. Last cylinder was very stubborn and took several hours to get off. This is what i found once the cylinder came off.



A new crank may be in order. With the cylinder off, the rod is rusted in position, and the piston is rusted to the point where it will not even tip either way on the rod.
