Oh, btw Gringo, the vibration inherrent in this motor isn't necessarily a bad thing. I dated this chick for a while that would....well you know what I'm talking about.
Best results were achieved at long stop lights at a low idle, followed by hard chugging second gear takeoffs.

Oh well I guess I'm not going to be a Yamaha owner after all. I finally talked to the guy this morning and he has decided to just keep the bike. Oh well I really don't need another one anyway, back to work on the 305 CSR.

I think that is a bit overdone, I wouldn't want it, but to each his own.
I have seen some really classic xs650 cafe bikes.

Mike, I agree that first one is over the top but you have to admire the skills it took to build that bike. The silver bike is more of a typical cafe bike and also looks to be well done. The one you posted the link to was, or is for sale on ebay, also a nice bike. The only problem I can see with building one is the cost. It would seem that the only people who make any money on them is the people who sell the high priced cafe and or tracker parts. Even if you were to start out with a $100.00 bike by the time you buy all the stuff to make it look nice you end up with a small fortune in it. They might look cool but it is still not very powerfull and in the case of an XS650 they vibrate like crazy.
