but my best cat story is taking the garrbage out at midnight 20 years ago and i lift the lid and out comes this cat.....WOW....WOW....still can hardly type i'm laughing so hard.....

I dont have a cat story but, I was riding my V65 doing 25 mph wondering what brushed up against my footpeg. I got to my destination and thinking the whole time it was a cat but boy did it smell like a skunk!:P

I think giving my oldest son a ride on a Z1-B when he was 18 months old. The other that rates with that is having both of my sons on the bike that I used to ride on with my dad. Kind of a nostalgic fan.

Ya vacationing on kz can be rough. I did Lapeer Mi. to Boston Mass. in 11 hrs. and avery knumb throttle hand.:woohoo:

I would have to say, the day i got my dad's 74 z1a to fire over, it had sat from 1983 and i got it in 2004.

74 Z1a 900 (Apart and making it better than ever)
77 Kz 650b (Threw a rod, going to sandwich in a 900 or 1000 motor)

riding my 750ltd to New York and Washington DC 26 years ago, loaded to the gills w/ camping stuff and clothes. wife on the back sitting up against the makeshift plywood sissybar (w/ more stuff attatched to the back of it) especially riding in downtown Manhatten right by the world trade center towers because i missed the turn for the staton island ferry. getting home on fumes because we used all our money. great time!!

Apart from surviving + 20 years of riding it's probably rebuilding this 79 650 D engine - I always fixed my own bikes but this is my first complete engine overhaul, best part is that it actually runs...

77 KZ 650 B1, 82 GPz 1100 B2.

I was about 20 and I entered a motorcycle riding skills course. I was the only rider to clean the obstacle course on my bike - the course involved tight turns between cones, 'up and over' ramps, complete stops and more - all with feet up. That was on a GT750 watercooled - the largest bike in the competition - nearly all the other bikes were 250cc or smaller. I was on the steering stops for much of the competition.

Completing the advanced riders motorcycle safety course on my all stock tank shift drum brake 1947 Harley, the female instructor ask me "well where is the clutch lever", and I actually passed with flying colors!


1979 KZ1000 drag/street fighter
1015cc stock internals for now, 39 flattys, GSXR frontend, ZX9 rear wheel with 6 over chromoly arm, just a budget beater!
