-Regular cleaning (mentioned before)
-Trying to get everything perfect (mentioned before)
-And trying to find the funds for upgrades/gear that I want/need without having to wait 2 years to get it.
So pretty much the same as others, but these are the 3 main ones I keep bouncing off of as I attempt to complete my bike to where I want it (see #2).

Someday, when I own a house with a garage big enough for a bike lift that might change, but for now its straight to the pros for me.
On the positive side, going straight to a professional will probably cost less money in the long run than attempting stuff myself and having to pay pros to undo all teh stuff I screwed up.

Bingo, that's about the only thing I hate about bikes. But I sure can relate to the time warp too...
I'll second that.

The paradox that if the weather is nice enough to work on it, it's also nice enough to be riding it.
And yes, the PO. Nothing like finding out that he stripped two spark plug holes, then JB Welded the new plugs in.

Fuel lines. I get the stink of gas stuck to my hands every time and it doesn't go away for days....probably because I don't know how to do it properly.
Quick, clean and easy using curved needle nose pliers to remove and replace fuel lines from and onto petcock nipples.
Good Luck!

It seems Fast Orange does a good job of cleaning up afterward.
