Speeding Tickets of 09

hey patton did he at least laugh. i got popped in texas one night just as i gave the gas pretty good going up this overpass i all the sudden got hungry and whipped in to this whataburger on the side of the highway and drove into a goddamn cop convention there where 6 different cop cars in the parking lot eating and talking about all the crime in the area and how somebody should do something about it i guess so anyway this one cop comes over and starts ripping me a new one and ask's for my license and paperwork he looks at my date of birth and just shakes his head and say hell what am i talking to you for your older than i am. then he looks at my license again realizes i'm not from around there and shakes his head and walks away. telling that i should take it easy so he wont have to scrape me up off the asphalt. got away with an other one.

I've only ever had one speeding ticket (so far). Funny thing is it was the one time I wasnt purposely speeding :S

I can drive for four hours straight at 100mph and not have a whiff of a cop but I go 62mph in a 50 zone and I get zinged :blink: . Suppose its for the best, $120 ticket is better than a lost license :laugh:

Oh, and there was that one photoradar ticket that I never received since my car was dirty enough to cover the plate :woohoo: :silly:

Last year, I was out in the middle of nowhere with no crossroads or turnouts or anything, just flying. I had no idea there was the county sheriff chasing me for 10 miles at over 100 mph to catch up. He wrote me up for 75 in a 55.
It was more like 100 in a 50. I'm lucky my bike wasn't swinging on the back of a wrecker! $200 deferrement and no problems in a year and it doesn't go on my record. It's gonna be a long time until the end of October!

I rented a Caddy @ LAX to see a friend in San Clemente then drive to Vegas for the Super Bowl. Driving on 15 in the desert I got nabbed @ 103 in a 70. $500 & 2 points. I didn't gamble at all and lost more than my friend who loves blackjack.

I'd have little issue with paying a speed tax, but it's the whole "points" and resulting raising of insurance rates that keeps me in line.

I'm with timebomb. Alberta is a great place to drive generally.

AND the socialists in Saskatchewan want to have reciprocity on points with Alberta. Alberta has told them no way.

i will see no chp pull overs for a while then one day notice em hiding and for about three days the california highway patrol cars are everywhere.....all the talk on here got me to make a mental note that it was the 15 of the month and they were everywhere around on our tying into main road/side street commutes....i saw like 6 or 7 tickets near us in the last two days even had one hiding behind some bushes by our house(damn should have got a picture).....i'm gonna watch and see if it is the 15th when they come back......whats funny is it seems like the herd is going the speed limit now for few days around my house....knowing the sharks are circling.....
i said it before but it is sooooooo true...if i watch the ten spots they hide i am okay...they are always in the same spots....it is a wonder other folks don't take this method to heart...i see neighbors getting nailed all the time.....now if they will just get that punk in the camaro that is doing drifting burnouts at 12:30 a.m outside my house i will be happy....

Now I'm confused. I thought all of Canada loved socialism. And all the amenities that go along with it. Now round these parts...............if you ain't a wicking it up your gonna get run over. That or until some hillbilly jerk water town cop catches ya. That or the Texas Ranger. Then your screwed.
