Well Chuck...you might get a more definite response if you posted the frame and motor VIN (frame VIN is located on the headstock while the motor VIN is located next to the 'add oil' area. The reason I suggest that is that many body parts of older Kawasaki's are somewhat interchangeable and alter the appearance.

You might want to double check the VIN number what I think it is would read KZ900B-504826. That would make it a KZ900 LTD, which is a pretty desireable bike to own. One other thing to check would be the rear master cylinder which should be visable mounted to the frame behind the rt side cover.

Looks like you scored a pretty nice bike, get rid of that hideous fairing, do some cleanup and you should have a really nice ride. Oh and welcome to the forum.

Sorry if that sounded rude, but damn that thing looks like someone decided to adapt the heat houser from a lawn tractor to fit his motorcycle. Since Chuck just bought this bike I'm assuming this was the handiwork of the PO and not his own.;)

650ed, thanks I have not picked it up yet, waiting on title transfer. Some minor service work...hasn't been on the road since 2003. I think I will really enjoy it.
