After an extensive search, I have found the subject vendor to have the best prices on motorcycle tires. Free shipping on orders over $99. Also there is a $20. discount that applies, depending on the total order amount.

I ordered two tires last night. Just my $0.02 worth.

JMK:
I seriously considered a Dunlop GT501, but finally chose the Dunlop Elite 3. The tread pattern is very similar to today's high performance radial track tires, even though it is a bias ply tire. They only have a few diagonal grooves and the rubber sections are all connected together continuously - no small blocks of tread. The rear tire is belted. My theory is, that all this will result in a tire with a firm contact patch that should give very good dry-weather performance, long life and freedom from "scalloping".

Even though the literature touts good wet-weather performance, I doubt that it will be spectacular, but I am OK with that. The diagonal grooves should shed water out to the side quite well.

I would imagine they will definitely out perform the present Kenda Challengers (K-657) that I have now. Time will tell.

I would like to hear from anybody that has run the Dunlop Elite 3 tires.
