Good SF Bay Area KZ Mechanic?

In hopes of not offending any of the site rules, I chose here to post this question... I am a longtime KZ rider but a fairly new member to the site... I am in need of some simple work done on an '81 KZ550 that is the love of my life. I can't seem to find the time to do even these reasonably simple things myself (two year old at home...), besides which I really want the work done right! Can anyone recommend (so long as it doesn't break any rules) a shop or private party in the SF/San Jose CA area who can rebuild forks, service front and back brakes and maybe do a tune up?
If I have offended site rules, please let me know and if possible suggest where to place a question of this nature next time...
Thanks from a KZNEWBIE!

Man, I wish I could remember his name, he might still be in the central CA area somewhere.

i bought some left over bikes and boxes/parts from a gal who lost her man 9 years ago...i did not ask ...she said he passed suddenly...they lived about three blocks from where the bike shop is now and she said he was a z-1 fanatic and before a garrage fire burned the collection up, had nine bikes all z-kz-and some were she said show bikes,,,,i wanted to ask more about this guy and may see her again but felt funny about being nosey...and wanted her to have her space...she did say to bring the bike by when i got it restored....and i want to know a bit more about the guy if she is willing to share anything we'll see....WPBill wrote:
Long shot I know, but back in the day (1995) there was a great British mechanic at the Suzuki dealership in Seaside near Monterey. He was kind of a Z-1 guru, but was also very knowledgable about other 70's and 80's Japanese bikes.

There are a bunch of places you could find in the San Francisco Area that could help you. Werkstat in the city comes to mind and has been recommended by other customers.
