Is the a4 a MK11? There is a guy in town that has one without a motor and it's stripped down. I might be able to get it cheap if I play my cards right. I looked it up at z1 and just want to double check.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Most people I guess would call an A4 a MKII, however in 1979 the A3 was marked as MKII on the sidecovers then in 1980 it simply said KZ1000 on the sidecover or known as the standard. You'll never see a 1980 A4 valued as a 1979 A3 is.

I knew there was something with the a4's that I couldn't remember and was too lazy to look up. At least it's in the same family as the a2 and a3. I'm hoping to pick up the carcass for around $100. He has the wheels, frame, front fender and all electrics. I found a mk11 frame in Texas for $375 before shipping so this is a little better deal.

Which one? If you mean the one that was stolen 10 years ago-yup thats the plan. If you mean the one on the lift then-no it's too cold to do anything with that one.

Well the guy sent me the vin number. And of course it's not right. He sent me a 12 digit number. Oh well I'll think I'll ask what he wants for all the parts and go from there.
Here are a couple of pics he sent. As long as it's not a shaft or an LTD I'll buy it.
