I have a chance to pick up a ZRX1100 for a really good price next summer (the bike is in storage until the owner returns next summer). I have been interested in the 1200, but don't know much about the 1100 and its differences from the 1200(other than the displacement). Anyone have one, ride one, own one? Opinions?

I have a ZRX1100 (as well as a 650 & a 900 KZ). Great bike. I love it. Fast, smooth, good looking (in green, of course).Do yourself a favor and buy it, you won't be sorry. ZRXOA is also exellent.

Sandy,
Thanks for the link. I, of course, posted here and then googled the rex and found the site.

madderkaw,
I am very tempted. I don't know the color of the bike but I do like the green and the black. I need to decide if this bike is different enough from what I have to justify bringing it home. I am about 90% sure I will be a new USED bike next year, I just don't know what.

Please keep the information coming...

I don't know what else you have, but I can say that I've had many other Kawi and non Kawi bikes. Mostly good, some not so much. The ZRX is the best bike I've had.

Awesome choice! the 1100 or 1200 are both great choices, I would be VERY happy to own either. I know a fellow that owns a 1999 ZRX 1100 and won't part with it. The only real complaints I've read about them is they are "too fast" :woohoo: I think Kawasaki nailed this model. Doug

I just got rid of my '99 ZRX and I really miss it :(

It was the only motorcycle I've ever bought new and I loved it. Really smooth, fast and handles great! I had to cut down on my "collection" and couldn't part with the KZ's. I know I'm going to miss that bike a a lot.

Anyway, I'd pick up the 1100 if you have the chance - you'll love it!

they a great bike but the factory could have done a better job horsepower wise.according to kawi they are tuned for mid-range well if i wanted that i wouldn't build the hot rods i do. i want full size sportbike power in a standard type chassis why can't they ever build that if they ever do build a standard with big power they make them so ugly no one want's them like z1000 or the suzuki b-king that is one ugly bike the nice thing about the zrx is that they are quite responsive to tuning. and there alot of zx1100 parts that fit so you can hotrod them. for my self i just stick to my air cooled motors that i know work and try to make them better in the suspensin and handling departments.

I have a green (of course) 2000 ZRX110 and love it. My previous daily driver was a Concours. I miss the bags, but the rex is more fun to ride. As noted above, there are tons of parts and accessories for thes bikes. If you ride the twisties, you may want to upgrade the suspension, though for a facotry system it ain't bad. If you are after max, power, find a 1200. It makes noticeably more power both stock and moded.
If you are not a mod addict, spend a little time getting the suspension set up for your wieght and style, then go ride the tires off it. You'll love the thing.

How did you like the Corbin bags? I've not heard much good about them.
