oh my god,you guys have to go to ebay motors before this guy takes his bike off.he has a 1980 kz 1000 for sale its a nice bike but come on he has a starting bid of $19,999.00:woohoo: and its no typo i emailed him and he said he has over $13,000 in the bike and he will take any resonable offer. now i build these old bikes all the time, and unless he is gold platting in 24k he is out of his mind:dry:
Way, way, overpriced...perhaps US$5000-6000 if the motor was redone also...but there is a method to his madness...all it takes is one uninformed buyer and he makes a score:)

According to my calculations, the rider of that bike would need to be six feet tall with a 13" inseam to ride it comfortably

Bike was bought in 1978 from the original owner and immediately took it all the way down to the frame and had it professionally painted and reassembled the bike back together after having every piece either chromed or painted. The engine is a 1075 with Venolia pistons, Engle cams, smooth bore carbs and a Kerker 4 into 1 header. It has a custom swingarm and drilled rotors. The bike has won 17 first place trophies including Best of Show. For the last several years he has only ridden the bike about 150 miles each summer. Call Clayton at 509-260-0349.

Since it's a "BaddAss" chopper, I guess you're supposed to insert Mr. Happy into the hole so as to hold onto this fast assed bike...

OK, I'll let mine go for $15,000. What a great deal - comparatively!
That's as bad as the $49,000 Z1-R TC on my local craigslist. Morons!!
I didn't see the link in the post, here it is:

OK, now I don't see my link either - it must be my computer here at work, or maybe a problem with KZR, but no links are visible to me. Anyone else having that problem?

I bought a similar piece of junk a few years ago where the owner chopped out two of the three top frame tubes to fit HD split tanks. Lethal.

must of been some rae origional z1 parts on it eh?:laugh:If he put that bike on ebay without a reserve, what do you think the final price would be? Given how 'well' he's finished the visible parts, there's no telling what junk is inside the bike. I think my top bid would be in the $300-$400 range...
