King Kaw in my future. was created by jordan
I talked to a buddy today who has owned a 1975 z1 for a couple years now. I constantly bug him about selling it, but have never had any luck. He never rides it, and is a huge HD guy. I work on a bike at his house and constantly find myself staring at it. In my signature you can see that so far i have only had luck finding the small fours, and i have never found a complete z1 that isnt restored and way out of my price range EVER. Today he called me and asked me if i wanted it. I thought he was just teasing me, but soon found out it was true. He said that he would give me the good friend discount of $1200. I must have it. I will have to sell a couple of my bikes in order to get it since i am running out of storage and my parents dont think a college student needs 5 bikes at their house. I will be selling my first kaw, an 82 750, and a 650 chopper project. I am very close to the 750 since its what got me into kz's, but it is getting worn out and i am ready to upsize a little. Here is a picture of the z1. It is kinda sad looking and everything needs to be gone through. It has 55,000 miles with no rebuild, bad rings or valve seals since it has a definate cloud behind it always, and the chain links stick together and to the sprocket so just moving it around the shop is a noisy task. All in all it definately needs alot of tlc, but i am definately prepared for it, and ready for it. This is the bike i have always wanted and its a great project to start from ground zero and make it how i want it.

Very nice, I just wish there were any Z1's in Newfoundland that I could get hold of.

KOOL
A top end and a lot of elbow work. You did well. (I would have bought it.)
Something just not right about that gas tank or is it just the pic.?

Sad looking???? Naw, she's beautiful!
When I drove home with my $400 P.O.S. bike in the back of the truck, my wife & daughter had WTF written all over the faces.... See below image...
They said sarcastically, "Oh, that's nice"
Now my daughter is "Dad, that's way cool" & my wife is "where are my foot pegs"...
See, we see these old girls in what they are inside, truly magnificant muscle bikes and for esthetics (like girls cosmetics) is only make up.
From the moment I saw my old girl (looked liked a crack whore) I had already envisioned to about 90% of what she looks like today...
So all in all, she's georgous, to me anyways... I can;t wait to see what your going to do to her... Keep us posted with images as you always do.
