Lincoln Nebraska Built KZ900 for Sale... was created by Old Man Rock
Hey all,

A friend out of Las Vegas picked up a non running Lincoln Nebraska 1976 KZ900 and is considering selling it.

Anyone know what it's worth (non running vs running)?
Basically all parts there but 2 plastic side covers...
Parts in boxes... PO was going to restore but never made it, sold it as is, didn't truly know what he had (Nebraska built).

Running it would be worth more I can only assume...

Thanks,

Hello OMR...best guess (w/out seeing it) might be in the neighborhood of US$1800 (providing ALL parts are there)...assembled and running might bring another US$1000 or so:)

$1800 sounds high for a non running bike. Maybe if it was in really good shape and had an electrical issue or something easy like that. If it was laying out in a field for 20 years and the motor was stuck maybe $300. It all depends on the bike and what area you live in. I paid $1600 for my 77 1000 with 15K on it. I was a bit concerned about a motor noise but as soon as I took off the vetter it went away. Weird but true.

While I think the Lincoln bikes are unique/special, the market doesn't seem to differentiate much between them and the Japanese built models. I'd say don't over pay on it.

Nates vintage bike axiom: Riding is the reward for time spent wrenching.
Murphys corollary: Wrenching is the result of time spent riding.
