Congrats Andy! Do you know how many KZ's you can get in a two car garage? And you have a basement and screened porch!!!! Oh, the thoughts of summer evening wrenching with no bug bites.... And with a lake that nice, you can wrench and fish at the same time. Nice score indeed.

I think you would do better with one of them Pontoon (Poontang!) Party Barges for this. Plenty of room for a nice bike jack, the bike, a tool box or 2 and you can still walk around her to do some casting! Cut a hole in the deck and drop a 650 in it with a nice knobbie and you'd have a KZ paddlewheeler!!!

Good to see you back on the board Tommo and I guess it's good that Redd finally wore you down.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys I'm really looking forward to the move. My mom bought the house from the original owner about 25 years ago and I believe the house was built in 1957 so it's only a year older than I am.

Mellvis, it is only a one car garage but that is one more than I currently have.:) The basement space is awsome, this time of year it is nice and cool and in the winter it's toasty. I just measured the steps tonight and it looks like I need to get a piece of aluminium diamond plate 12 ft long by 34 1/2" wide to cover the steps. That will allow me to shoot all my project bikes down there while I'm working on them. With the huge air compressor I just bought I'll be able to bead blast, sand blast, spray paint and run any air tools that I want.

I also found a winch at Harbor Freight for about a hundred bucks that comes with a remote control. If I mount it in the garage I'll be able to just hook up a bike and winch it up the ramp making it a one man job to extract the finished bikes from the basement.;)

Locozuna, I agree that a small pontoon boat would be ideal but since there is a small chain of lakes close to here they seem to fetch too much money. My freebie 16 ft Glastron will have to do at least for now.

Here is a shot of the living room this should keep SWMBO happy as long as I don't bring any bike parts upstairs.

Congrats, Andy.

Now you got me jealous and wishing I could move out into the country, but houses in the area I'd like to live move slower than molasses in the Yukon in February. I gotto get outa here soon as in a couple of months I'll be only two blocks from work and that's too durned close!

Thanks Nate, thats the great thing about this house, I'm really not out in the country. It is only about a mile from where I live now. I can be on the interstate by driving less than a mile and to my job in two and a half miles. Since I always seem to be running late that's a big plus. I don't see how some people make these long commutes to work everyday. I've already moved the Fuelie into the garage and off my front porch. Looks like he's quite comfy eh?

Rather that diamond plate, get C Channel, its cheaper and the sides will keep it rolling in line.
You may want to have a second thought about painting in the basement, all the fumes are going to go right thru the floor and into the house,
But you still have a killer set up

Congrats Gringo, nice lookin' place. Is the lake suitable for swimming (other than the piranhas of course)? B)

The C channel might be the way to go if the diamond plate proves to be too costly, I still haven't priced it yet. I don't plan on doing any painting in the basement, I'm going to run an airline out to the garage (if I end up putting the compressor in the basement) so I can paint in the garage.

The lake is fine for swimming, it's very clean since it is spring fed. I'm thinking the piranha was a fluke but there are some snapping turtles that could ruin your day if they latched on to a certain part of the anatomy. As to the pool table I made a deal with my mom, in order to get the leather sectional and leather recliner I had to give the pool table to my nephew and agree to buy her a table she wants. I think I have a line on another pool table though, one of the members at the club has one in his office he wants to be rid of.

Here is a pic of the leather sectional.
