Hey everybody
think it has been three months since i checked in. Been busy with my summer off (school teacher) Took the KLR on a long dirt trip, and reaffirmed that i am no good at dirt and just am not comfortable in it. The KLR is a great bike, but i think our days together are numbered. Me and three of my buddies went from wisconsin up to the tip of the UP. 1500 miles round trip with about 1000 miles on dirt. then i bought a house here in Milwaukee. The wife got her motorcycle endorsement and has been running around on one of my 400's, the S model one with drum brake front and rear and a kick start only, does that make me a bad husband or a really good one? But now for some reason her belly is getting bigger? i think she has been eating too much but with all the puking in the morning i am starting to worry.
then sturgis last week, i took the bagger again, CD player and cruise is to hard to walk away from. one friend had his VTX and the other guy had his brand new Ural Patrol, the two wheel drive one. for 70 year old russian engineering that thing really impressed me, 70mph on the flat!! on the hills it struggled but it really did not have much trouble keeping up. Really dead at sturgis this year, campground was half full and the bars were empty, think the Harley 105th cut into the attandance or maybe gas prices? don't know. went to the hillclimbs on monday got a video of the sole kz1000 trying the hill. anyway i will stick sme pics and vid.

Very cool!
As for the video it seems like he hardly used any of that KZ power and was pretty close to the top!
