we were out riding, and we switched bikes. All i can say is wow, that bike was fast, it wooped my 900. We got on the highway and i had to see what it would do, at 100 mph, i cracked the throttle and the front end came up, it was freaky but the bike was rock solid at that speed on the rear wheel. I took it up to around 140 ish, i had to slow down cause i couldnt see a thing. Turns out he is going out of town next weekend and he said i could use his bike when he's gone. I have a feeling that i might get into some real trouble with it lol...........:P :P :P :P :cheer: B)

 amazing what another 40 or 50 hp and 100+ pounds less can do!! My two oldest boys have GSX-R 1000's, about 10 pounds heavier than the 600 you rode and around 160 HP at the wheel! Quite the unicycles if your not careful. I've kinda given up trying to make more power with my KZ, if I need more power I'll just buy something newer, it's cheaper in the long run. But I'd have to get some handle bar risers, this old bod just don't bend like that anymore.:silly:  :P

A 600 that can lift the wheel at 100mph? Either he had some serious work done, you dropped a few gears or the speed rush has clouded your memory. At 100mph there are some serious forces pushing the front wheel down. If the wheel does lift and it gets too high then you have 100mph wind trying to push the bike over. Yes the GSXR600 is faster than a old Kaw on the freeway but red light to red light you should be able to keep up with him. Now a GSXR1000 is another story

Harley Davidson- Turning gas into noise without the harmful affects of horsepower for over 100 years.

My oldest son has a 1995 GSX-F 600 that is pretty darn fast. The day he bought it i rode it part way home. I am only 5' 5" and he is 5' 10" not very comfortable for a short guy. It fits him just right. I had his up to around 120 and it did that with ease and i am sure it could pull the front wheel with know problem. I'll stick to my old cruiser.

Somewhere around 100 rear wheel horsepower, and around 400 lbs wet, and I see them advertised used as starter bikes for new riders.

Damn I'm getting old!! :woohoo:
