Video Recorder(info needed)

I'm watching an auction and need to know if this DVR(digital video recorder)will screw onto a tripod.
I want to use it for recording from a helmet-cam,if I decide to go that route.I can mount the recorder on a camera mount that I have,for easy access to it,while I ride.
I've contacted the seller but he hasn't got back to me yet.
None of the sites,where I've found these units,mention that they do,while some show the recorder as a kit,which shows a tripod in the picture,but I need to know for sure.

RECORDER

Bum #17 here :woohoo: Sandy, I would think that it does NOT have mounting system. From the picture I cannot see any kind of hole. It appears to be a small handy handheld model. The mounting system as you know usually has two holes but the case is very narrow, so I tend to think it does not have one. Sorry...

Interesting, unless they came up with their "own" mounting system it should be universal. You may be good to go, even if it don't work it's small enough to tape to your helmet!

Actually,John...that unit is only a recorder and not a camera,meaning that a camera(lipstick camera) plugs into it.You would mount the camera on your helmet(or where ever),and wire it into the recorder,along with a microphone,which you could also place where ever you wanted to,on the bike,keeping it out of the wind.
I was thinking that it would be nice to have the recorder mounted in a location that was easy(and safe)to reach,to activate the record and pause buttons.
I've done a fair bit of research,and this set-up looks to be what I'm after.
I'll wait to hear back from the seller on ebay,and even if it doesn't have a mounting point,I'm sure I can rig something up,cause I'm smarter than any electronic gizmo...right?:S
