Nates vintage bike axiom: Riding is the reward for time spent wrenching.
Murphys corollary: Wrenching is the result of time spent riding.

That and this site probably has collected most of the combined knowledge of the 650 outside of Kawasaki.

Well i got it home frame tag says its a Kz650-B mfg. 4-78 but i think its been built from parts of different bikes as it has dual rotors on front but only one caliper.the valve cover has the smog valves also.its got a few pieces im gonna keep and the rest is for sale or trade.NO title.

Like i say im no expert on 650s but i think someone just put a dual disc wheel on a single disk bike.i think all wheels are drilled and tapped for dual rotors(at least all that i have seen).and most of the front brake parts will interchange all the way up to the 1000 until 1979 or 1980.at any rate these rotors are in good shape some minor surface rust but not on the area that contacts the pads.

Though all the 4 bolt rotors will bolt on, not all are the same diameter, and since the caliper location is fixed, diameter matters.
If I recall correctly, 650's have a smaller rotor diameter than 1000's. 750 twins have the same rotor diameter as 1000's.

My F1 has the larger single disc which according to Kawasaki.com shares with most 1000's, along with a 750.

Both rotors on this bike measure the same as my 79 1000 LTD approx. 12 inches the caliper location on the fork is also the same.
