I got 2 kz1000's. One is a 77LTD. Beautiful and mostly original 11k on the clock. And the other is a 78 A2A a Redlin Cycle restoration (paid a good penny for it).
I really want a ZRX. So i put my LTD up for sale but havinf 2nd thoughts. I really want a newer bike and heard Zrexes are fun and are like a newer KZ.

we are on the same page. Interesting to see what response will come in.
My concern is reliability and ride comfort. 2 issues that I believe a newer bike would provide, yet still feel retro or 'at my roots.'
I was actually looking at a Redline bike since they seem to do such a sweet job. Figuring the reliability issue would be solved or the ZXR.
What is it you don't like about the A2

I love the A2A model thats why im selling the LTD they both are really sweets bikes. Redline also worked on the LTD. I dumped about $2700 in the LTD to make it better than new. I like the way the ZRX looks but I have yet to TD one.

I have 3, two 1100Ds and a 1100A2, all 1982 models. My wife has asked me many times "why don't you sell these bikes and buy a new one?". I have been riding and working on 900/1000/1100 KZ bikes since they first came out. I like my bikes......chris3

I have a difficult time selling any bikes nowadays...but I will also be selling my 1977 KZ1000A1 (whenever I finally get it dialed in:laugh: ). Pragmatically, sell the LTD as they made more of those than the A2 model...on the other hand, you also might be able to generate enough funds from the Redline special sale to almost get a ZRX...oh, never mind, I don't have an answer either:laugh:
