new handlebars was created by crazy homeless guy
i have been looking for new bars for a month or so now. just keeping my eyes open for what exactly what i want, or at least what i think i want. i found this picture of a cb550, with what i think are factory bars for it. can anyone verify this for me? ...ho do you think these would work with a kz650?

Those do not look like CB550 factory bars. As far as I know, my CB550 is all stock except the mufflers. I've owned it about 10 years and it has only 8600 miles on it. See pics.

ok. i went with the euro bars from Z1. cheap enough that if i don't like them, i can try something else.

now, i am looking for stems to move my turn signals to the front headlight bolts. so, if i order these stems, or the stems on the second link, at the bottom of the page, will they work? can i replace the headlight attaching bolts with a set one these?

My '78 650 has the one from Z1 - but you will also need the rubber packing pieces, and the cast inner grounding/washer pieces (all still available from Kawasaki).

Provided your headlamp shell is like the '78, I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

Oh, on my 650, the handlebar switch wiring is INSIDE the bars - is that true on yours?

I don't have any decent pictures of the handlebars off hand. I did have a couple of overall photos on my camera, so I cropped a couple of the shots.

I am fairly certain that all of the wiring is on the outside of the bars. If you look at the photo on the right, you can see the wires coming out of the casing that has the horn and turn signals. I really haven't had more free time than this to look at it.

Thanks for the tips and help.
