It never fails to amaze me how moronic eBayers can be, both sellers and buyers. There are so many people that don't do their homework with respect to what Kawasaki items ought to cost (by extension this applies to virtually every thing else too!). Follow this link:

tinyurl.com/5j57ug

It is an auction where the SAME product is currently available from Z1Enterprises for US$162.99

I agree. People just need to do a little homework before bidding. I saw these double what the sell for at www.thriftyrider.com ($32.00)and just shook my head when the bidding ended.

tinyurl.com/5cgrrb

They are still available from he factory, and the buyer could have had 4 for the price of the two he won.

I'm sure some of the bidders are in the same boat I was in before I found KZr. I didn't have a clue as to what I was doing. I'm so glad I found this site (Thanks, Jeff) before I made too many of the similar mistakes. KZr guys really know their stuff! Great bunch when it comes to sharing experience and knowledge.:cheer:

I'm too lazy to look, but Z1 ent sells new Z1 seats for $162? That's a darn good price. The one's that get me going on ebay more than that is the morons that part out a bike and every part is listed at virtually new prices. Is anyone really going to pay $25 for a used clutch lever, used speedo cable ect? One real winner was even auctioning single camcaps in each auction. Geez.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

It's not only eBay, it happens in the classifieds right here on KZR.

Used carb holders for a KZ1000 for $50 in the classifieds

New carb holders for $65 at Z1 Enterprises

Seems pretty silly to me anyway.

Here you go, Lazy, Z1 seat for $162.99 at Z1 :P

Got one of those identical off a seller on ebay for $20-$30 cheaper as a buy it now. Nice seats, but I wouldn't pay three hundred odd bucks for one

Continuation of my previous post.

Same seller has two round screw in reflectors, $25 a pair.

$10.70 each at Ron Ayers for OEM Kawasaki reflectors.

Snagged a nice set of SR forks off eBay a couple of weeks ago, $50 with shipping. I need to replace one as it is pitted and has cut out the seal I replaced in '04.

I had looked a couple months ago and all I found were BIN listings for at least twice as much or more and not as good of condition as the ones I got. Patience is key as well as the mindset to bid a set amount and let it go if someone bids over. Another item will be along sooner or later.

How about a 1980 KZ440 for $1625 with 45 minutes to go? It popped up when I made the prior post.
