I need a quick answer please... was created by mrapino
I just bought the Clymer manual for my bike (1982 KZ650H CSR), but most of the information in the manual has to do with the KZ650B, KZ650C, or KZ650D. I was wondering which of these models my bike is most related to.

The manual doesn't seem to mention my bike in particular.

Thanks!

Yes, it has a supplement, but I am trying to find out about tire pressure, and the supplement doesn't cover that. It only has the one section for tire pressure and it only mentions the KZ650 B, KZ650 C, and KZ650 D.

does it mention tire sizes for the bikes? If the tire sizes are the same, then the tire pressures should be the same. Assuming you are running a 16" rim with a130/90 series tire,it should be around 35-40psi for the rear and the same for the front. Take into consideration for the tire you are running and look at the side wall to be sure.

Since you are not using the tires originally installed by Kawasaki, I would think the tire pressure spec they provide isn't really relevant. It would be better to look at the sidewall on your tire and see what the tire manufacturer notes as the pressure at max load rating and then back down the pressure a few lbs from the max since you aren't likely riding at max load. In other words, a ME880 has a 50 PSI at 800 lbs. and a Dunlop D404 has a 40 PSI at 750 lbs. it doesn't make much sense to use the SAME spec for both.

You've all been a great deal of help. Be sure to look out for pictures of my bike coming soon. It is running, and I just need to do some small stuff to it.

Thanks again.
