Visiting with Shoe - Lots of Photos was created by KZ_Rage
Due to the predicted stormy weather (it got us anyway), 3 other riders and I rode up to see Dave and how he was doing on Sunday instead of Saturday.

I picked up TheCafeKid on the east side of Dayton, some of you might know TCK from The Ton Up or GSR sites. It was super slab all the way with some wicked crosswinds and dodging showers. Made it to Breeze's place in Grove City, was very warmly welcomed and got to see his projects and bikes, very nice. From there TCK, Breeze, Tracy (Mrs. Breeze) and I were on our way to Mansfield. We stopped somewhere on I-71 once north of Columbus to grab a sandwich. When we cam out the skies to the west were dark, very dark. About 10 miles later we hit the rain in earnest. Only TCK brought any rain gear but by the time we made it to an overpass we are already pretty wet and he opted out of bothering with it. Surprisingly my leathers kept me pretty dry and only where the mesh panels were did I get wet. It was Tracy's first rain experience since getting into riding but she did just fine.

Once at Dave's it showered on and off for quite a while which delayed our departure a bit but to be honest we were having a good time at Dave's so we weren't in any hurry to leave anyway. His wife Sheryl had some great food prepared and was a great host. Dave looks pretty darn good (for Dave, just joking!), he amazingly has very limited outward signs of the wreck others than what you see in the photos. The bike faired pretty well also. I wasn't able to find a way to put the chin scoop on my bike without it looking like a huge wind catcher, I even considered putting in a box on the back but had visions of those little scooters you see in Asia where it looks like they have a refrigerator, a couple of goats and such on the back. I had called Dave before leaving and we will get together on this later when he is more mobil. The trip back was long but uneventful. Had about an hour or so ride in the dark but it was on slab so I didn't have to worry as much about "deer season".

IMG function failed to work, sometimes it will sometimes it won't most times it won't. I'll build a page over on my site so you guys can pop over and see the photos.

OK, the photo system here doesn't work so I deleted it, see the original for the link when I get the page built for them so you can see them without problems.

Good to hear he is doing well - does he plan on going to Mid-Ohio since he lives so close - it would be good to meet him (and the rest of you!).

It was great getting to see Dave once again. I wish it were better circumstances however, Dave looks good and healthy.

I will try to see if I can get some pics to load here as well...

This is Dave with his female excorts Mrs.Shoe and Mrs. Breeze

Everyone hangin in shop

Here is Daves bike. For the most part, it all looks fixable. We'll get right on that when Dave feels up to it...

Even with the rain, it was worth the trip. It was great seein Dave and I look forward to heading back up to help with the rebuild when he's ready.

Jim, thanx for getting us together and it was great spending time you again as well as Josh...

Thanks Rob, I don't know why I have so many issues posting photos here when they are stored on stormloader.

That bent wheel shot was the only one that came out blurry on my camera.

Since you got most of them up at Dave's I'll try to add a few others through another host.

As for Mid-Ohio, I doubt he will be up for that.
