I went up Friday and met up with Sandy and Tony. We had a good ride thru the mountains and along Kootenai lake. Great ride bike made it with only a grabby rear caliper and the same engine noise. I did lose my leather jacket on the way up but a lady found it and I'm picking it up from her in the morning. Not a lot of pics but here they are...

Why did you remove the tank to fill it? Did someone run a lil short on fuel?

bought it because I was told it would never run again...I like to prove people wrong.

Tony was having head gasket issues and had to have the tank off and thought why not have Sandy fill it up on his dime.

No...we had to donate a tank of gas for the ferry-ride across Kootenay Lake.Damned "B.C. Ferries"...they're on a very
low budget.I had to paddle for the first mile,
until they got Tony's tank hooked up.

Yes,it was a great day,and Don...that's AWESOME that you got your leather jacket back!:woohoo:

Great pics Don, I'm glad to hear you found your jacket. Did you get rained on going home? It was pouring rain here all morning.

I got rained on for about 15 minutes on your side of the border and about 30 minutes between Northport and Kettle Falls. Not too bad. I dried off quick.

Great pics, guys, and looks like the weather cooperated...kind of. I'll be out your way and be taking the Osprey over to Balfour during the second weekend of August.
Hopefully the weather will be cranking hot with not a cloud in sight. Historically, we've had good weather 90% of the times we've gone on this same ride at the same time for the last 10 years or so......so hopefully this year will be no exception. I LOVE riding the Kootenays....no traffic, no gendarmes and LOTS of twisties. What's not to like ?? Right ??B)

KZ650C2 Stock/mint. Goes by "Ace".
