Take the center stand off  Dont need it , just extra weight!
Uh huh, but be sure to keep it so you can just stick a bolt in it whenever you need it to work on the bike.

How's that supposed to work? You're standing on the left (port) side of the bike, it'll be extremely awkward to reach across and grab the front brake, and anyway you want the front wheel to roll backward as the bike rolls up onto the center stand.another small trick is to keep you hand firmly on he front brake, trust me it helps.
Here's how to do it:
Start with the bike in neutral, on the side stand.
Stand on the left (port) side of the bike.
Put your right hand under the rear frame rail, under the seat.
Put your left hand on the left handlebar grip.
Put your right foot on the center stand, push down until the left "foot" contacts the pavement.
Stand the bike up and you'll feel the center stand's right "foot" contact the pavement.
Straighten the handlebars so the wheels are in line.
Simultaneously push down with your right foot while pulling up with your right hand.
Hey presto, shazam, voila: You're bike's up on the center stand.

Thanks for that one steell, the 750 twin popped up first try and I'm 5'10-11 and 160lbsPut one foot on the center stand, left hand on the bars, the right hand on the rear grab handle or on the frame, place all your weight on the foot that's on the center stand, lift with your right hand and pull back with your left at the same time.
Works for me anyway, but I'm 6' 3" and 225 lbs

Well thanks for all the advice but it's not happening any time real soon. I can't risk hurting myself off-duty to put my bike on the stand.
Putting the bike on the centerstand is easy, it's picking the bike up when you're pinned underneath it that's hard :woohoo:

I know it would not be any fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

- Blue handles better
Not to worry about asking about this. Somewhere in the archives I have a thread on the same thing after unceremoniously dumping my SR on its right side the first time I tried to get it on the centerstand. The grab handles made the process MUCH easier.

Is there something already wrong with your back or do you have some other physical condition that would prevent you from performing this task?Well thanks for all the advice but it's not happening any time real soon. I can't risk hurting myself off-duty to put my bike on the stand.
If not, then grow a pair and put your bike up on it's stand already.
