Finally!!!!!!!!!!! Its alive!

Well I have to tell someone who may care so here goes. After being apart for almost a year, I decided to put my nose to the grindstone and get my bike back together a few weeks ago. I was having a few tranny issues and couldnt find anyone to fix it for me (Since all the shops around here are communists when it comes to bikes older than a 93) I deided to do it myself. Well after a few tantrums and a few beers I got to hit the starter button today for the first time in a long time. After a few cranks she sputtered to life. All of my hard work has paid off I took it for a ride and it shifts like a new one and runs extremely well. I am going to get some sleep and take the day off of work tomorrow to go get some seat time in!

Nothing better then that! I will bve doing my first full motor build this winter. I'm a little nervous about the tranny but it should be alright. :S

Back on the road is where all KZs belong!

Well I have put over 50 miles on it and there doesnt seem to be any big issues. The only thing I am feeling is a little clatter when I downshift into 1st while rolling, and I need to take the tank off and move the return side of the petcock 180 degrees . I am just glad to have it back on the street. I will be posting some pics later on this evening.

The clatter seems to be normal as both the KZ I used to ride and my GPZ both had that little habit.
