Interesting 650 Story....

in the April issue of Classic Motorcycle Mechanics.
What started life as (probably) a B/C3 got converted into a 750 and then into an 810. The guy had bought the bike new in 1979 but when it was time to spruce it up a little, he went all out. New front end, new rear suspension, etc etc.
For the finishing touch, he put fuel injection on it. The injectors are from a GPz1100 with his own control unit.
Interesting story about a talented guy who just won't quit riding/modifying his 650. Tough bikes er whut!!??!!

rstnick, is he by chance talking about the bike that was BOTM for many months at the other site? It was injected I believe and had similer suspension as described?

Although I have seen the article on the KZ650. info thread ( Didnt realisethat you had to be logged in to see the scanned article!!) it looks great in real life.

CCM is a nice mag but not readily, routinely available in my area...I've seen it a few times in Barnes and Noble but more often than not, is not for sale...alas.
