Sorry To Be Boring, But.... was created by H2RICK
my 650C2 is such a great around-town bike that I'm now looking for a semi-niceish 650B that I can do the cafe thing with/to. Multiple KZ Disorder sufferer ?? You bet.
Now, to watch Craig's List/Kajiji/whatever to see if I can find a nice B.....or maybe a 750E ?? Both are at the top of my list for the cafe treatment ASAP.
Is there anyone on here that's done a real nice 650/750 cafe ?? Not too wild/over the top....just something simple.
I'm really too lazy to go through all the pics in the library.....:P ;)

I'm working on a 750E project, and have been seriously looking at cafe style, even more so since someone posted a link to a place that sells really cool fairings (Don't tell anyone but I'm looking at the Honda one :D )

Suzuki 99 600/750 GSX forks are an easy swap (done it), and the GPz750 (83-85) aluminum swingarm is fairly simple to convert to dual shock and fit to the frame, I made a boring bar to fit a 1/2" drill to do the frame, actually boring the frame is next on my list. I have a 17mm drill bit (that's what we did to GPzInfested's bike), but I want to make sure the holes are perfect.

Just don't know about the clip-ons though, I had a Norton cafe bike in England in the early seventies (guess you could call that an original cafe bike :) ), and I don't think I want to deal with clip-ons now. Have to be Superbike bars I guess.

At least I haven't seen a fuel injected 750/810 cafe bike yet (ZR750 reference) :D :D

GPzInfested's 79 KZ650 SR/GPz750 motor and suspension, is a streetfigter style.

Thanks for the link, rstnick. Those boys are definitely hard core about cafe bikes. I just might have to join that board just for S & G....;)...and to give a little more Big K representation over there....:)

I caffeinated my KZ550 and am really happy with the results. I got lots of complements from people with WAY better bikes than mine at this years Daytona Bike Week. The cafe seats are what makes it I think. Got mine on ebay.

Thanks,
Eric
