Well, the stable is growing.
I just picked up a 78 SR, and I LIKE it, I think I'll take the CSR engine and drop it in there and add a little repaired/cleaned up Yosh to the mix.

I've got a lot of hours left though (also see bashed up knuckles and 6 packs of beer)... wish me luck

Actually, jimmybon is correct, the labels themselves are pretty rare (not to mention the pipes). If you can, chisel off the pop rivets on the pipes label and sell it on eBay...you will recover a surprising amount of money:)

Yeah, unfortunately it looks like the bike ran aground and one of the primaries (before the exhaust collects) has been pushed in a bit, not to mention some more rash on the underside of the pipe where it's rusting a bit, as well as the ding you can see by the badge. I am debating refurbishing the entire exhaust, because it is truly rare, I am so happy that I found a vintage Yosh pipe. Apparently it's nice and loud too.

You would kill me if you knew the price I paid for the entire bike.

As for the CSR, the paint is actually pretty cool where it's still in tact, I would love to get both bikes running all said and done.

The CSRs confounding issues continue into this season unfortunately, and the SR still needs a battery and some looking over before it will even flash up. I drained the oil on both yesterday and found it all pleasently clean and devoid of all metal debris and milky badness.

It looks like the frame is 1979 or later by the footpeg mounts, plus B model using the ducktail and B style seat. Blinkers are B model. So you have at least 2 bikes built into make one.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Ron's right. It's definitely a hybrid. The frame number tells all.

Well the papers say it's a 78, I guess it is a hybrid though? Better be insurable, that's all I can say...

What is the first part of the VIN? It'll be one of KZ650B/C/D. That and the digits following are the only thing an insurance company will care about for liability coverage.
