Oh, Oh, Don't Anyone Tell BadKaw, But.....

ANOTHER 650 showed up today at the the salvage yard where I work. This time it was a D1 in pretty nice condition with original paint and ~15K miles on it. The seat is a little rough but the rest of it was certainly presentable. The owner decided he needed new rubber and chain and sprockets. He now has a very nice runner/commuter hack that should last him for quite a while with minimal care.
These 650's are starting to come out of the woodwork now that guys know that there's a 650 afficionado available to help them along with their ride. Of course I suggested that he should also join this board if he wants the REAL lowdown on 650's since I'm just a noob.

Yup, I'd like to fall into a 650...I think I have just enough room in my garage to squeeze in one more bikeB)

Are you parting it out, or turning it into a project?

Nope, it currently belongs to a 20 something guy who is using it as his daily rider. He is a complete noob to bikes so I gave him Uncle H2's 10 minute primer on care and maintenance of old motorcycles. He was appreciative, to say the least.
