1984 KZ550 shaft drive ?

I saw a post on here a while back talking about a 1984 KZ550 Shaft drive. Someone responded back saying that he had one But no matter where i look and i even talked to a Kaw dealership about this. NO ONE seems to know anything about that. The responder mentioned that it was an M1 which is great execpt the M1 was an '83 so i thought i would ask if there was such a thing as an M2 agian no one heard of it. So im not sure and im not trying to be a Butthead about this. But i think who ever those two poeple were were just confusing the 1984 and 1983. and that they really have an 83. I belive that the M series was like the C series where ( and i have a C1 1980 KZ550 Ltd) the Number after it was what Number year the production line was. But if anyone knows Better and can prove it PLEASE tell me Beucase i hate be mis informed about bikes it bother me when i don't know something.

The one I'm looking at now is a shaft drive and it's an 84. I posted a pic in the new members section.
