Ace (650C2) and I went for our earliest ever spring ride yesterday. It was tooooo nice not to. There were a zillion bikes out and 95% of them were cruisers. Barf-O-Rama !!!
Ace ran along like a champ, used fuel parsimoniously and went through the twisties like she was meant to. We passed some doofus wannabe on his big block Hardly with his legs straight out with his feet on his highway pegs. Does that look stupid or what ??? He tried to catch me after I passed him but on the moderately twisty road we were on that was NOT going to happen.
As the new mirror stickers say: Harleys in your mirror are slower (and clumsier) than they appear.
Gotta get me a couple of sets of those somehow.
A few pics will follow but I have to head off to work.
EDIT: Here are the pics as promised.

Great looking bike Rick
Love the scenery in the last pic ! Just outside Calgary ?
Thats the way I'd like to see snow between now and next November - in the distance

JR:
Yep, that site is about 40 km SW of the city. I cheated a little (for Calgary Tourism LOL) and used the zoom on my camera just so that anyone who wanted to download the pic had a good amount of detail if they blew the pic up some.
KZ250LTD:
I feel your pain, man. Just to perk you up a bit, we had about 1/2" of snow last night....so no riding today. We are also supposed to get snow/rain Friday, Saturday and part of Sunday. What a difference from one weekend to the next !!!
Ahhh.....spring in southern Alberta....

After 4 months and 12 days I roused the SR out of its hibernation yesterday. I put the battery in, put in a gallon and a half of gas and a shot of SeaFoam, checked the tires and lights, filled the carbs, and she started on the second kick. It ran just as though it had only been run the day before.
I even rode it uptown to a meeting last night.

Your C2 looks great. The pic brings back memories of what mine used to look like when I first got her. Although she was not as nice as yours.
I've also been through Calgary, and remember that view.
I drove from Edmonton, through Banff to Vancouver. Then from there to Calgary, Drumheller and back to Edmonton.
Got lots of great pix, and great memories.

I second that emotion. Mine looked somewhat like that when I brought it home, but the clear coat had started to peel, and the side panels and tail piece were faded. Anyway, nice pics and nice bike!Your C2 looks great. The pic brings back memories of what mine used to look like when I first got her. Although she was not as nice as yours.

Thanks for the compliments, guys, but in all honesty I can take very little credit for how nice she looks....
well, except for replacing the world's ugliest king/queen seat with a very nice stock unit.....and getting rid of the WindKutter fairing and the matching Windkutter bag set.
I just HAD to buy Ace to save her from looking sooooo ugly. She cried out to me to save her from the Philistines.
