U.S. motorcycle salvage yard listings was created by RetroRiceRocketRider
Knowing how hard it is in finding ANY parts for our older bikes, and with the prices some sellers on eBay are demanding (ie: gouging!) for even decent used parts, it's always nice to be able to find a place near you where you can rummage through what they have to find the part(s) you need/want in a condition you're happy with, and sometimes even haggle the price or barter with them.
Anywho, click the link below and scroll down to about mid-page, then select the state you reside in to pull up list of used motorcycle and parts salvage yards (includes their addresses and phone/fax numbers) near you.
Salvage Dealers
Heck, there's 50 of them here in Calif alone!:woohoo:
The hosting site from the above link even has a Free Parts Request Form , where you post what you need and basically let the participating salvage yards do the legwork/searching for you. I imagine you might even be able to haggle online if you can prove differing prices between competing salvage yards.
Here's another "post what part you need" site.
FindMyPart.com
I used this site once before, and got responses from 3 diff places in just a couple of days on a NOS part that only fits my (2-year-only-model) '84 ZN700!:woohoo:

That sure sucks.
Not that he's dead (although I wouldn't wish death on anyone), but that he was a crooked person and cheated folks.
There's a silver lining here though, at least you can scratch his name of the salvage yard list for your state! :silly:

Guy up here used to tell us it was $25 if he had to send his boys down in the yard to get your part. He was OK if you wanted to go get it yourself after you signed a release form in case you got hurt. Then he'd say if you hear gunshots just hit the dirt. I gotta keep the varmits down and slap the 22 pistols he wore on his hips. Bro used to tell him he was going down after his parts and if he heard a shot when he got back he was gonna put his head on the wrecker and use his own guns for target practice. Old man Wright used to laugh and say "Go git your parts Sasquach!". It was a running gag with them. Most people were afraid of Old man Wright cause every other word out of the man's mouth was F---. He also had about 4 one tooth wonders of simian DNA working for him. He liked Gris tho.
Bone Yards are cool!

yeah i spent some of the best times i had growing up in louisville skipping school and wandering fields and railroad tracks hauling back old car junk, those were the good ol days!:woohoo: after the 1st couple times getting chased off by farmers they would get used to me and actually show me where they kept the good junk out in differant areas along tree lines:)
