I think a Ninja 650R or SV650 would be a better race for me.

I don't know about the SV650, but the Ninja 650R has ten less hp than the 750 four, and it weighs close to the same.

US Model 1982 KZ750E 463 lbs 74 hp according to the Factory Service manual. West German model 77 hp. Not that it makes much difference.

Ninja 650R hp figures not released by Kawasaki, they just say "48.5 lb/ft @7,000 rpm" and 393 lbs (at kawasaki.com).

Still seems like a fair fight to me :)

If the KZ750 doesn't do the job, there's always the GPz750 Turbo (115 hp in stock form, ~140 hp right now) :D

If I was riding the KZ750E and a decent 140 lb rider was on the EX650 (Ninja 650R), the Ninja would kick my butt (I weigh ~240), swap bikes and the KZ750E would probably win. So make sure the other rider out weighs you considerably :D :D

The previous owner of the GPz750 Turbo weighed ~340 lbs and ran consistent 11:16's at the strip in stock form.
