Just saw this today on ebay. A guy wouldn't possibly keep this out in the backyard. I was thinking he probably just moved it out for the pics, but after seeing the leaves up around the wheels and the tarp behind it I think this poor abused bike sits outside. If I had some extra cash I'd save it from this abusive owner.

There's a bike cover on the left rear side,
you can also see it at the bottom of the rear wheel.
He probably pulled the cover off to take the pic.

So, I think it's safe to say that he keeps it
parked outside.

Yeah, and a brand spankin' new eBayer to boot.

No question, that bike deserves much better than it's receiving.

I thought those things go like hotcakes. Bad time of year? People worried it's not all original?

More than likely leery of a seller with 0 feedback and it's a very poor presentation. OTOH, it's garnered two bids and is currently at $5199.00.

If a seller wants top dollar, then some amount of effort needs to be taken to describe and present the bike. Instead this newbie seller only posted one photo with the wheels nearly buried in snow and leaves and the bike cover thrown off to the side as though the intent is just to unload the bike as quickly as possible and then used a fancy page graphic for whatever reason. It's too bad that this bike probably won't bring it's true value and it's equally too bad that an auction this poorly done will still bring decent money.

Maybe it;s just me, but I wouldn't spend $5k+ on a bike unless there were a dozen or more photos showing the bike from every conceivable angle and a thorough written description provided or I had an opportunity to inspect it in person. Who knows what unseen blemishes exist?

I just LOVVVVVE those "restored" MAC turnout 4 into 2's.
Yep, that boy has a lot to learn about how to do a description properly. He'll probably be a single item seller and after this auction is over he'll never be heard from again.

Why is it that just about every cherry, perfectly restored bike on ebay seems to be being sold by someone who knows nothing about it? It smells scammy.
