My camera has given up the ghost- I need to buy a new one- anyone have any suggestions on an under 200 dollar camera that works well at, oh, -65f or so? :silly:
Seriously- it was almost -80f two weeks ago in Tok, and I rode my bike north until I got -50f on my little thermometer.
It is pretty warm the last week- above freezing, all the snow on the roads turned to glass ice- now it is 10f, and perfect riding weather (as long as you have studs, of course) the studs are really grippy on hard frozen ice!
I can dig a 4 inch trench in solid ice RIGHT NOW with a twist of the throttle.
Not good to grab too much front brake though!
107rwhp is not a place to get happy with the throttle in the winter- though I like that "backing it in" feel when I fishtail it real good.
I was doing broddies on the kickstand for m y kids right before this pic was taken- it was about 25f out at the time- fun time to be outside- perfect skiing and riding weather!

Cool!
Hey, I don't know mush about cameras, but the first thing that came to my mind when I read your post was that you should get one of those under-water cameras, because they *might* withstand the temps and moisture better.. have you tried that?

Look at camera shops, and online places, like Best Buy, and Frys.
Nice shot there!
