just got this bike tonight (will get pics tomorrow) and all I'm using off it is the engine and I was looking for any opinions or experience with this engine. for some reason the spark plug holes are too large for B8es plugs to screw into... so it has some kind of adapters screwed onto the plugs... any ideas about this? surely it's not stock right?

No, not stock. Sounds like (without seeing, of course) the plug holes have been drilled/tapped and/or helicoiled. You may have to redo them, or go to an alternate system...or replace the head. Pictures will tell.

The Engine may have to be rebuilt if someone helicoiled the plugs the probabilty of chips dropping into the cyl. is high. I know if you grease the flutes of the tap and go slow no problems but I am figuring if whoever was able to strip 4 plugs well you can guess the rest

so... I'm thinking I want these DID wheels and all the brakes on my 78 KZ650 B... what are the chances of the front and rear axles being the same diameter on both bikes?
