I flagged this topic as innapropriate use of a post. (kidding)
to see a nice bike like that get destroyed intentionally bothers me.
The comments about Harleys on youtube in your link is funny though, how long would a Harley last doing that!? Not long at all it would laucnch the heads 50 feet in the air!

We should make a honest effort to find out who the Idiot dealer was that did this, and what he hoped to gain by doing it. (before we hang him up by his Scro**m from the nearest tree for his sinns)

First thing to remember is that karma is a b!tch. Eventually the vintage bike gods shall smite them in their lairs.

I already posted a comment on youtube (two up from Sandy's comment) on what I think, but they limit how many characters you can post in one comment or I would have ranted on at least a full page long!:
Don't let kawsakiman see that vid!
It's the same bike he has (ZN1100 LTD, big bro to my ZN700 and both only made for 2 years), and will likely bring him as close to tears as it did me.
The person that posted that vid said is was from a dealership running a "promo".
WTF where they supposed to be promoting?!!?
I'd NEVER buy a bike (or anything else) from them. And you'd have to be a blithering idiot to take your bike in to them for service after seeing that vid! :pinch:
FWIW, there's NO Harley Davidson (or ANY V-twin for that matter) out there that could have stood up to those RPM's and abuse for even half as long without literally blowing up!
Let it cool down for 20 mins, throw some new fuel lines on it and it starts right up again???
Kudos to Kawi engineers and their "bulletproof" KZ model bikes! :woohoo:

I was finaly able to add my coment to the you-tube video. I hope this gets back to the Idiot dealer. Let's see if he has the balls to confrunt us here. I'll castrate the SOB myself. Show him that a USMC K-BAR is just as good as "Preperation-H" on his tipe. (A-hole)

I have no idea what the point of this was but if I ever decide to kill myself, this will be as good a way as any.
It's useful in the same way as the Nazi experiments. I'd like to know the condition of the bike, ambient temp, type of oil, etc.
Lets see a vintage Harley run 10,000+ rpm for 3 minutes.....
*edit*
Who wants to bet that GSXR had less than 1000k?

To point out something you all seem to have missed. ANY harley owner wouldnt be stupid enough to treat his bike in such an iresponsible fashion. Could it be jap riders owners are the only ones stupid enough to treat their "prized " possesions in this manner. If not.....show me the video. jonnybiker, motorcycle owner rider. all makes equaly appreciated.

I had to hide that video from my bike. That was a grandchild they executed there. It looked for sure like they pulled the oil filter and left that open. That's where the flames first started. They would have gotten a better prmo by leaving it run hard all day with oil and maybe a fan. Could have shown their customers how strong the Kawasaki heritage is.

Hi Johnny.
I'm not sure who the owner was of the bike in the video. Mention has been made that it belonged to a dealer and they performed this stunt as a "promo". I can't imagine anyone who actually owned and cared for the bike would do something as stupid as that. However, stupid owners likely cut across all marquees and aren't limited to owners of makes from one country or another.
Wanton destruction of any motorcycle infuriates me.
