Saw this on Ebay item# 320214877880 looks to be mostly complete and has a BIN price of $500.00

Fine talked me into it. Really want it. Looked and the buy it now option isnt there, but when you arent on that page it says $500 buy it now for the bike in your recently viewed section. WTF!!! I would be glad to pick it up for $500. Any suggestions?

Jordan, the buy it now option goes away once there is a bid placed that meets the sellers reserve. If it were me and I really wanted it I'd try to contact the seller and offer him the $500.00 and see if he will pull the listing and sell it to you. Or you can just jump in and bid. My gut feeling is that now that the bidding has started the bike is going to bring more than the $500.00 BIN price. This might be one of those you snooze, you lose situations. Good luck in any case I hope you get it.

Actually I'm not 100% on if the BIN goes away with the first bid or if it has to hit the reserve before it goes away. I think this bike was probably listed with no reserve and a BIN price. If it were closer I sure would not walk away from this bike, it's worth $500 all day long. Most of the original stuff is there, it has a title, a Kerker pipe, real low miles and it runs. I would not be surprised if it hit $1000.00. Other than the fact it is located in BFE it looks to be a pretty desireable bike.

Ok, maybe I misunderstood, I´m not really that ebay savvy. It´s just that I would feel shafted if I paid $500 for a bike and the seller was willing to let it go for half that, that´s the impression I got from the auction, hence the walk away comment.

Still, if I was selling that bike and I had all the missing parts (brake lever, side covers, ignition cover, air box etc.) I would have installed them before taking the pics - you can only make a first impression once and while it may be worth the $500, my first impression is it looks kinda ratty as it is.

OnkelB, I agree with you 100%, if I were selling that bike I would have taken 5 minutes to put the covers on and make it look less ratty. Since I'm looking at it from a buyers perspective these are the kinds of auctions I like to find. If you read the description carefully and look at the pics you find the hidden value. The bike comes with a new battery lets say $40.00, new rear tire lets say $80.00 if you would have done the BIN for $500.00 you already have 20% of your money covered by those 2 items alone. The seller also says his brother bought the bike to sell off the touring accessories. To me that means the bike came with a full fairing and someone who puts a full fairing on a bike usually does not run the crap out of a bike so that bike has probably had a very easy 11,000 miles put on it. The one thing I noticed that makes me think the miles are most likely legit is that it has the original Goodyear rear tire it came with. Those have not been made for a coon's age so my guess is that is the original tire.

If you could have used the buy it now, the advantage you would have had is you would have got it at a good price before anyone had a chance to bid it up. In my opinion $500.00 was way under the money on that bike for what's there. I'm watching it in my ebay so time will tell if my instincts are correct.
