OK, here's the deal. I have always been a bigger bike rider, currently 1975 Z1, but now I have bought a motorhome and plan to put a ramp on the back so I can carry a bike without towing. Can't put the Z1 back there as it is too heavy! What I need is something around 400 lbs. or less, but with enough power to carry two up. Not looking for speed, just something that would do 60-65 down the road. What I would like to know is what is the best choice here. Would really like to stick with Kaw and year is no big deal. Any suggestion are welcome.
Thanks........Teddycp

I used to have a Kawasaki 454 ltd. What a great bike, not that heavy and could easily carry two. It was made from 1985-89(?) then Kaw upped the cc's to 500.
I would highly recommend the 454! and it's a nice looking bike too;)

KLR 650. Should be under 400 (can't remember exactly) and it's a blast. I never rode two up on it, but guys do. It's real tall though, so if you or your passenger are short, may be a problem.
