As you read this thread, realize that the text below was sent to me via email and I posted it without checking the facts first which are that the rider was killed and not lucky at all. I do not blame anyone but myself for jumping the gun and not checking first as I generally admonish others to do.
This guy was lucky. Wear your helmet..................
A truck was traveling down the highway at around 1 o'clock in the morning near Tulsa , Oklahoma .
Motorcyclist was traveling at ~120 mph and ran into the back of the moving semi-truck.
Truck driver said he felt the impact, and it took almost a 1/4 mile for him to pull over.
This is what he found...

BTW, this was forwarded to me by RCHER who is working on a KZ650 based on the half bike I gave him last summer.

I didn't post this to poke fun. The pictures appear to be instructive in their own right so I didn't editorialize.
Of course, this is from a forwarded email. I am reasonably sure the pictures are real, but the accompanying story could be suspect. For the sake of this thread I'll assume the story is real and the rider lived. I'll bet that today he would agree that "stupid hurts".

Wasn't making any funny here. I was serious and wondering why story said he was "lucky". I would think that if he were alive that emergency crew would be all around him.
