1980 KZ650F1, Bought new out the door for $2,162.98!
Better jump on it, won't last long! was created by Bluemeanie
Can't believe they are asking this price. I've seen these SAME items start at $9.99 and sell for less than $100. This idiot thinks because bike bandit or some other place says it's worth this they will get it! Will NEVER see a bid!

If you allow me to interject, I can explain this one. Steamboat springs is a snooty ski town up in the mountains that is inhabited by yuppies. Between all of the subarus, lattes, and the rather thin air, there isn't a lot of space left for comensence and reason. Those people also don't know what anything cost in a non-ski resort price bracket. Just my .02

I once put an old , used speedo from an XR185 on ebay . I started bidding at $5 figuring I'd rather have the $5 than throw it away . It sold for over $93 . You never know ! Of course I have a lot more stories about things that I sold that were worth good money and brought peanuts .

well that would fit most KZ's. it is only correct for a 79' right? with the blue KPH numbers on there and the 140mph i am thinking 79'. didn't they drop to 85 mph in 1980?
oh yea, the price is crazy.

Here's what eBay says about the "Best Offer" listings -- seems the same as walking into any store and just irrevocably offering whatever amount you're willing to pay for an item within the net 48 hours, regardless of the price tag on the item. ---
Best Offer
Best Offer gives you the chance to negotiate the price with the seller. The advantage of a Best Offer is that you have the opportunity to buy the item at a lower price than the Buy It Now price or, on eBay Motors, the Advertised price.
There is no minimum Best Offer price. However, you should only make what you consider to be your "best" offer for the item because any seller who receives multiple offers for an item is likely to accept the highest Best Offer. Best Offers are good for 48 hours. If the seller accepts your offer, the listing is immediately closed.
Only submit a Best Offer when you’re serious about purchasing the item. Like the bids made on auction-style listings, your Best Offer is binding. If your offer is accepted by the seller, you are obligated to pay for that item.

I saw that this morning too. Even bikebandit doesn't charge that much for it, but may not be available. Yes it is only correct for a 1979 KZ650B3, C3 or D2 and the 79 KZ750B4. As mentioned Steamboat Springs is pretty much a tourist trap or residence for the more wealthy folk. It used to be a nice little town 30 years ago. I first got my KZ650 it was my first real "trip" covering 300 miles in a weekend ride when I was 17 yrs old. Different town back then completely. I don't know why these guys waste their time.
What bothers me most though is when these morons part out a bike, take a single picture of a motorcycle then list each part for exorbitant price with the same photo on each listing. Real nice to see 1000 parts listed in a row. Seat for a KZ440-$150, right hand shock-$100, bolt that holds the shock on $5. Wonderful waste of browsing time
